They darken blue skies, saturate colors, and reduce glare and reflections from water or glass by using an Opteka rotating polarizer. Simply look through your viewfinder as you rotate the filter and stop when you reach the desired effect. Ideal for shooting in bright sun, at beaches, snow, etc. The Opteka HD² Multi-Coated UV (0) Ultraviolet Haze Filter filter blocks the invisible UV rays which can cause a loss of sharpness. The use of the filter is particularly recommended for work in the mountains, at the ocean, and in areas with very clear air. The contrasts are heightened, and distorting fog is avoided, as this filter cuts haze for sharper black and white prints and corrects the blues and violets in color prints. The polarizing filter does not always work, you have to guess when to stop turning. You may unscrew the filter from the lens when turning.

I don't know much about polarized lenses but I am not too excited by this product. I have played around with it but my pictures come out with grades of color without uniformity, and can't seem to get a good setting.
It also adversely affects my autofocus. I get sharper images without the lens.
The poor result I get maybe my fault but its not been worth the trouble. So use your judgement and check other reviews and other lenses before you buy.

Very handy lens kit when you have to take a picture of city or nature from the long distance. Polarizing filter will remove reflections of dust from atmosphere. But full power you can achieve only when the sun located from 90 degrees from the object, so the best time to use it is evening and morning hours. It also makes sky real blue, and you can remove reflections from water, while taking pics of fishes. UV filter is just a protection. It might help with lens glare, but don't expect much from it.
